Winnipeg’s iconic revolving restaurant could soon be back in business, with a new restaurant applying for a liquor licence at the one-of-a-kind location.

Dos Papmas Skyline Restaurant recently applied for a general liquor service licence for the 30th-floor space at 83 Garry Street.

The proposed licence would allow liquor service from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Sunday, with service beginning at 1 p.m. on Remembrance Day.

Job postings for a chef, sous chef, line cooks, dishwasher, manager, servers and other positions have also been posted on LinkedIn by Alfonso Maury, owner of La Pampa Empanadas Gourmet.

The space was last occupied by Prairie 360, which closed during the pandemic in 2020.

There is no word yet on when the new restaurant is expected to open.
