Motorists may need to plan an alternate route this weekend in the northern part of the City.

The Leila-McPhillips intersection is set to undergo paving operations.

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, August 29 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, there will be no east-west travel through the intersection on Leila. Westbound vehicles must turn right onto northbound McPhillips. Eastbound traffic will be closed at Watson Street. During the closure, access to businesses between Watson and McPhillips will be maintained.

Motorists travelling northbound on McPhillips will not be able to turn left onto Leila. Southbound McPhillips will be reduced to one through lane. No turns will be permitted in either direction from southbound McPhillips onto Leila.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead to avoid lengthy delays in the area.
